T. H. LAWRENCE DIES SUNDAY

Funeral Services For Suffolk Citizen Will Be Held Tomorrow; Burial In Gates 
County.

Thad Huntley Lawrence, aged 40, died at his home on Brooke Avenue, Sunday 
afternoon at 5 o'clock after a brief illness. Mr. Lawrence is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Margaret Hayes Lawrence, and three children, Huntley, Jr. Clinton and 
Mittie Lawrence, all of Suffolk; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Lawrence, of 
Gatesville, N. C.; two brothers, M. M. Lawrence of Norfolk, and L. B. Lawrence 
of Gatesville, N. C.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the 
residence, 303 Brooke Avenue, conducted by the Rev. Dr. George Wesley Jones. 
Burial will be made in the family cemetery near Sunbury, N. C.

Funeral services for Thad Hurley Lawrence were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 
o’clock at the residence on Brooke Avenue. The Rev. J. Wesley Jones conducted. 
There were many handsome floral offerings.

Members of the Methodist church choir sang the hymns, “Old Rugged Cross" and 
“Rock of Ages."

Active pallbearers were: M. M. Lawrence, D. P. Lawrence. L B. Lawrence, M. E. 
Spivey, J. A. Spivey, H. H. Howell, B. O. Johnson, M. W Brown. Honorary 
pallbearers were friends of the family. Interment was made in he family cemetery 
near Sunbury. N. C.
