MARGARET MULLEN MASTON

FRANKLIN – Margaret Mullen Maston, died Feb. 17 at Southampton Memorial 
Hospital.

Mrs. Maston was a native of Gates County, N.C. and a daughter of the late John 
Jefferson and Ida Parker Mullen. She was a lifelong member of Savage United 
Methodist Church, a graduate of East Carolina University, and had retired from 
Perquimans County, N.C. public schools as a supervisor.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Thomas Lewis Maston; a sister, Edna 
Mullen Mathias of the home; two nieces, three great-nieces; a host of cousins 
and friends.

A funeral was conducted Feb. 19 at Wright Funeral Home with the Revs. Wayne 
Gardner and Terry Williams, officiating. Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 
Suffolk.

Memorials may be made to the Jim “Catfish” Hunter ALS Foundation, P.O. Box 47, 
Hertford County, N.C. 27944.
