P. P. ROGER EXPIRES TODAY Well-Known Cypress Woman Succumbs to Long Illness At 11 A. M.; Funeral Monday at 3 P. M. Mrs. Ella Pierce Rogers, wife of Phillip R. Rogers, died at 11 a. m. today at her home near Cypress Chapel. Mrs. Rogers had been ill for several months. She was 63 years of age. Mrs. Rogers was well-known in Cypress District and in Suffolk. Before her illness she was active in church and community work in the county. Surviving Mrs. Rogers are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Mitchell Pierce, of Corapeake, N. C.; two sisters, Mrs. V. L. Henderson, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. A. R. Jackson, of Suffolk; four brothers, W. T. Pierce, of Suffolk, H. R. Pierce, of Norfolk; J. R. Pierce, of Corapeake, N. C., and A. K. Pierce, of Raleigh, N. C. Funeral services will be held at Cypress Chapel Christian church Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, with the Rev. R. E. Brittle, pastor of the church, conducting the rites.
