LEWIS ALFRED ROUNTREE

Prominent Sunbury Citizen Succumbs
  Funeral services for Lewis Alfred Rountree, who died at his home in Sunbury, 
N. C., yesterday, will be conducted from the residence Sunday at 3 p. m. Burial 
will be in the Sunbury Cemetery.    
  Mr. Rountree, who was 62 years of age, was a merchant and leading citizen of 
Sunbury and Gates County, taking part in the civic, political and religious life 
of his community.
   Surviving Mr. Rountree are his wife, Mrs. Eunice Russell Rountree; two sons, 
Hazlett, Sunbury, and J. H. Rountree, Mt. Airy, N. C., a daughter, Eunice May 
Rountree, Sunbury, and three brothers, L. M. Rountree, Corapeake, N. C.; J. H 
Rountree, Norfolk and W. J. Rountree, Hobbsville, N. C.
