JAMES C. WALTON

James Cornelius Walton, 76, of Route 1, a retired auto mechanic, died March 
31, 1990, in his home.

Mr. Walton, a native of Gates County, was a member of St. John Holiness 
Church.

Survivors include his wife, Amaza Walton; two sons, Thomas Walton of Gates 
and James C. Walton Jr. of Chesapeake; a foster son, Robert Bowser of Gates; 
a sister, Della Mae Hall of Gates; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in New Hope Baptist 
Church by the Rev. Eugene Fields. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 
Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in St. John Holiness 
Church. Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling arrangements.
