Gates County, NC - Will of George Eason, 1802 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of George Eason 1802 In the name of God Amen I George Eason of the County of Gates & State of North Carolina being in a very low state of health and not expected to live but a short time considering my self in my proper senses at this present time I do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament in manner and form following First I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Zilphia Eason my land and plantation whereon I live during her natural life or widowhood also my stock of all kind hogs and cattle household furnitures also one negro girl by the name of Rose to her own disposing also all my farmes Secondly I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Elizabeth Eason the land and plantation whereon Abel Barrett live and also Two Negros Cherah and Sampson Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my beloved son John Eason the land and plantation whereon I live and one Negro woman by the name of Doy she and her increase hereafter also my desire is for Zilphia Eason to take care of these legatees till they are Twenty One years of age I likewise constitute make and ordain Zilphia Eason and John Eason to be my executors of this my last will & testament I do hereby utterly if allow revoke disavow and every other former testaments and wills bequeaths and executors in by me in any will before names will or bequeathed ratyfing & confirming this & no other to be my last will & testament in witness hereof I have unto set my hand and seal this 13th day of October 1802 His Mark & Seal George Eason Signed, Sealed in the presents of us who have hereunto set our names Simon King Clarise Eason ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
