Hobbs In the Name of God Aman Know ye that I Guy Hobbs set of the County of Geates and Provence of North Carolinia, being weake in body but of sound mind and memory thanks be given to God for the same & Calling to mind the uncertain State of this mortal Life and being Desired of selling and Disposing of this my Timporal Estate which it hath Pleased God to bestow upon me in this Life do make and Ordain Publish and Declare this present Writing to be my Last Will and Testament which is in manner and form following Impremis my Will is & I do here by order and Appoint that all my funiral Chargis & Expensis together with my Just Dibts be truly paid and Satisfised by my Exectors heare after Named and that sum be Deducted out of my Estate which I shall leave at time of my dimise Itim I give and Bequeath unto my Son Moses Hobbs all the Lands that I hold in Chowan County I say to him and his heirs and Assingns for ever and one Horse Bridle and Sadel and one Yoke of yound Stears and feather bed and fenerture one Gun to him and his benefit and behalf for ever. Item I give and bequeath unto my Son William Hobbs all the Lands that I holds in Geats County I say to him and his Heirs and Assingns for ever an one year old Colt and my old Gun that I boeght of Ruben Hobbs to him and his Benifit and behof for ever. Itim I give and bequeath unto my son Jesse Hobbs my Negro boy Named Tom I say to him and his Heirs and Assingns for ever and I Desired that my mare shall be Carred to sum Horse or other this Spring and if she shall bring a Colt to good that the said Colt shall be my Son Jesse Hobbs and like wise when he a Rive to lage money out of my Estate be Rase to by him a Gun for his ous and Benefit for ever and if ether one of my Two Sons William and Jesse shall die withour Heaire ther Propty shall Return to the other ones ouse and Benefets for for ever. Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Wife Pashents Hobbs one thurd part of my Plantation before mentioned to my Son William Hobbs During heir widohood and at heir Death or Marage to Return to my son William Hobbs I also leave my well beloved Wife Pashents Hobbs one feather bed and fireniture and one more Bridle and Sadel and one Cow and Calf heir Chorice to heir Benefit for ever Itim I give and Bequeath all the Rest assis due of my Estate be it of what Nature or kind saves to be Equal Devided between my Dear wife Pashents Hobbs and Six of my younger Sons and Daughters to them and there Heirs for ever but my Son Moses Hobbs and my Daughter Tamer Hill I have all Ready give them both what I Intend to give them and also I do make Nomanate Constitute and apoint my Son in law Moses Hill Moses Hill and my Son Moses Hobbs my sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testement Desiring them to see the same fully Esecuted and Performed in Witness Whereof I the said Guy Hobbs for hirunto set my hand and for my Seal this 26 day of February 1786. The within Will was exhibited into Court by Moses Hill and Moses Hobbs Executors therein appointed and was proved by the act of Aaron Hobbs one of the Subseribing Witnesses therto.
