Gates County, NC - Will of Carl C. Parker, 1939 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of Carl C. Parker NORTH CAROLINA GATES COUNTY I, C. C. Parker of the county and state above, being of sound mind but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, revoking and declaring all other wills by me heretofore made, utterly void and of no effect. First. It is my will and desire and I do hereby will and devise all of my personal property, stock, farming implements and all other kinds of personal property, other than house hold and kitchen furniture, to my son, W. W. Parker. Second. I give and devise to my daughters, Ora P. Kite Martha Brooks and Gertrude McDaniel all of my house hold and kitchen furniture, share and share alike. Third, I give and devise to my son W. W. Parker, my farm on which I live, in said state and county above, Hunters Mill Township, known as the John Lee Alphin place, adjoining the lands of Richmond Cedar Works, John T. Barnes, Mamie Alphin and Manle Jones, and W. W. Parker and on the Sandy Ridge public road, at Acorn Hill, and containing one hundred acres more or less This devise of my farm is made to my son W. W. Parker, on the condition that he pay to my daughter Ora P. Kite the sum of eight hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three cents, and that he pay to my daughter, Martha Brooks the sum of Eight Hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three cents, and that he pay to my daughter Gertrude McDaniel the sum of Eight Hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three cents, within six months from the date of my death. The said W. W. Parker, my son, shall have the choice of paying the above mentioned amounts to the above mentioned daughters, and take the above ! mentioned land, or refuse to pay the said amounts within the time named, and in which event he shall take only a one fourth and each of the above named daughters to take a one fourth undivided interest in said farm. In the event of the death of either of my above mentioned daughters, leaving children, before my death, the children of such daughter shal succeed to the rights of their mother under this will, and take the sum herein provided for their mother. In the event either of my daughters should die before I die, without leaving children, then the other daughter or daughters, shall succeed to the rights of the dead daughter or daughters and take the sums or sums herein provided the for dead daughter or daughters. Fourth. It is my will and desire and i do hereby give and devise to my grandson William Walter Parker, Jr. all money or notes that I my own and possess at the time of my death, where ever located.
