Thurs. April 9, 1859  North Carolina Argus April 7, 1859
   ACCIDENT-- WILLIAM RUFFIN, ESQ., a son of JUDGE RUFFIN, broke his leg by a 
fall, week before last at Graham. Unfortunately the injury was so severe that 
it was found necessary to amputate his limb. -- Charlotte Democrat
