This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: ==================================================================== ETHEL STRATTON ORR ROBBINSVILLE – Ethel Stratton Orr, 93, died Friday, April 21, 2001 in Masonic and Eastern Star Home. She was the daughter of the late John and Callie Morgan Stratton, and wife of the late Jake Orr. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Martin. A retired housekeeping supervisor with Government Services, Inc. in Fontana Village, she was a member of Robbinsville First Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star of Robbinsville. Survivors include four sons, Rev. Jay Orr of Bakersville, Burl L. Orr of Robbinsville, Hubert Lee Orr of Baltimore, MD, and Lamar Orr of Concord, TN; a daughter, Willa Mae Carringer of Robbinsville; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Robbinsville. Rev. Roger Millsaps officiated. Burial followed in the Lone Oak Cemetery. The family received friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Memorial donations may be made to Masonic and Eastern Star Home, 700 South Holden Road, Greensboro, NC 27407.
