NOTICE OF DIVISION - N.C. Grants in Tennessee
Notice, that SAMUEL JONES and JOHN M. GOODLOE will, according to law, petition 
the County Court of Maury [Tennessee], at next December session, for a 
division of two thousand acres of land, in said County, grant No. 211, granted 
by the State of North Carolina to ROBERT GOODLOE, deceased, bearing the date 
of the 1st day of January, 1793, to be divided agreeable to the last Will and 
Testament of the said ROBERT between SAMUEL JONES, WILLIAM GOODLOE, JOHN MINOR 
GOODLOE, HENRY GOODLOE, and DAVID SHORT GOODLOE. The said SAMUEL and JOHN will 
petition the county court of Davidson, at next November term, for a division 
in like manner, of a tract of land in said Davidson County, containing 640 
acres, granted to the said ROBERT, by the state of North Carolina, grant No. 
1382, bearing the date the 20th day of December, 1791. The said SAMUEL and 
JOHN will also petition the county court of Williamson, at the next January 
term, for a division in like manner of three tracts of land, in said 
Williamson County, No. 13, 14 and 15 containing 228 acres each. N. 13 was 
granted by the state of North Carolina to MALONE MULLENS and conveyed by deed 
to the said ROBERT; No. 14 was granted by the said state to JOHN POTTER and 
conveyed by deed to said ROBERT; No. 15 was granted by the said State to DAVID 
PHILIPS, and conveyed by deed to the said ROBERT.

Note: The 1790 U. S. Census shows that ROBERT GOODLOE lived in Granville 
County, at that time.
