STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA     COURT OF EQUITY   GRANVILLE COUNTY
Sept. Term, 1809

THOMAS NORMAN and others

           Vs.

WILLIAM SHAMMELL’S HEIRS

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that one of the defendants, 
ELISA SHAMMELL, is not an inhabitant of this State. It is therefore ordered by 
the Court that publication be made for three successive weeks in the Raleigh 
Minerva, that unless the said Defendant appear at the next term of this Court 
to be held for the County of Granville on the 1st Monday in March next to 
plead or demur to the said bill, it will be taken pro confesso against him.
