NORTH CAROLINA -- Granville County -- In Equity -- 
DEMPSEY WATKINS and wife, CATHARINE, and others vs. The chihldren and heirs at 
law of SALLY FAULKNER, deceased, and others. 
Petition for sale of land for partition.
It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants in above 
entitled cause, to wit, the children and heirs at law of SALLY FAULKNER, 
deceased, late the wife of JOHN FAULKNER, now deceased, and the children and 
heirs at law of NANCY EDWARDS, deceased, reside beyond the jurisdiction of the 
Court, it is therefore ordered that publication be made for six weeks 
successively in the Raleigh Standard notifying the said defendant to be and 
appear at the next term of sd. Coourt to be held on the first Monday in March 
next, at the Courthouse in Oxford, then and there to plead answer or demur to 
the said petition, otherwise the same will be heard ex parte and a decree 
taken pro confesso as to them.
Witness JOHN W. HAYS, Clerk and Master of said Court at Oxford, the first 
Monday of September, 1863.
