THIS INDENTURE Made this 2nd day of May in the Year of our Lord one Thousand 
Seven Hundred & Eighty Between William Allen of the County of Granville & 
State of North Carolina of the one part & Hazelwood Wilkerson of the Same 
County & state other part Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the Sum of 
Five Hundred pounds Current Money of this (sic?) to him in hand paid by the 
said Hazelwood Wilkerson the Receipt whereof the said William Allen doth 
Acknowledge himself well satisfied for the sum and therefore doth sell release 
& confirm & by these presents doth from himself his heirs give grant bargain 
sell & confirm unto the said Hazelwood Wilkerson his heirs & assigns forever a 
Certain tract piece or parcel of Land Containing One Hundred & Twenty five 
acres & bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at Grants Corner & thence his 
line west three Hundred & four poles to a red Oak in Ro Busbys line thence his 
line North Ninety four poles to a red Oak in Daniels line then his line west 
two Hundred & ninety two poles to a red Oak at Landers Corner thence a line of 
Marked Trees South Six degrees east to the Beginning together with all houses 
Orchards wood or woods timber & timber line water or waters Courses ways 
profits Comodities (sic) & appurtenances whatsoever to the Same belonging or 
in any wise appertaining thereof & every part & parcel thereof To have & to 
hold the aforesaid One Hundred & Twenty five acres of Land & all & Singular 
the premises unto the said Hazelwood Wilkerson his heirs & assigns forever & 
the said William Allen for himself his heirs doth covenant & agree to & with 
the sd Hazelwood Wilkerson his heirs & assigns that he & they shall & may at 
all times hereafter peaceably & quietly possess & enjoy the said granted land 
& premises free & clear from all incumbrances whatsoever & the sd Wm Allen his 
heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever defend the said granted lands & 
premises to the sd Hazelwood Wilkerson his heirs & assigns against all & every 
person or persons whatsoever In Witness whereof the said William Allen hath 
hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & Year first above ritten 
(sic)

William Cock proved this Deed from William Allen to Hazelwood Wilkerson which
