Granville County, NC - Indenture - Berry to Collier, 1750 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granville County Deed Book C, page 57 Berry This Indenture made the third day of August in the twenty ninth year to ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Collier Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland King Deed Defender of the faith &r. and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred fifty six Between Wm. Berry and his wife Grace & County and Colony and Dominion of North Carolina of the one part and Robt Caller of the other part Witnesseth that the sd William Berry for in Consideration of the sum of fifty five pounds Currt. money of Virginia to him in hand paid at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he the said William Berry doth hereby acknowledge hath Granted Bargained & Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released & Confirmed and by these presents doth Grant Bargain & Sell Alien Enfeoff Release and Confirm unto the sd Robt Caller his heirs & Assigns for ever all that part of a tract of Land of six hundred & forty acres lying and being in the County of Granville afsd. on the West side of Little Creek Containing three hundred & twenty acres be the same more or less which sd. Tract of six hundred & forty acres was taken up by the said Israel Roberson and Earl Granville’s Grant obtained for the same bearing date the twenty fifth day of March 1749. and also the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents & Services thereof also all the Estate Right Title property Interest Claim and Demand what so ever of him the said William Berry of in and to the said Land and premises lying on the West side of Little Creek afsd. and of in & to every part & parcel thereof To have and to hold the said part & parcell of Land & premises with the appurtenances unto the said Robt Caller his heirs and Assigns for ever and the said William Berry doth Covenant & Grant to & with the said Robt Caller that the sd William Berry the said Dividend or parcell of Land and premises against him & his heirs and against all & every other person & persons shall Warrant and forever defend by these presents unto the said Robert Caller his heirs and assigns forever.
