All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Watson beverly_wat@msn.com August 8, 2010, 1:58 pm Written: September 4, 1750 Recorded: September 4, 1750 Deed Book A, Page 301 THIS INDENTURE made the fourth Day of September in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty BETWEEN George Jordan, Junior of Granville County of the one part and George Jordan Senr of Northampton County of the other part WITNESSETH that he the said George Jordan Junr for and in consideration of the Sum of Thirty Pounds Sterling Money of England to him in hand paid by the Said George Jordan Senr. before the Signing and Sealing of these presents all ready paid the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Confess and Acknowledge himself therewith fully Satisfied Contended and paid and Every part and parcel thereof the said George Jordan Junr his heirs Exectors Admtors and Assigns and every of them Doth hereby fully Clearly and Absolutely Acquit and Discharge Hath bargained Sold and Doth by these presents bargain Sell Alien make over and confirm unto the said George Jordan Senr. his heirs Exetors Admtors and Assigns one Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Containing two Hundred Acres be the same more or less Situate lying and being in Granville County bounded as followeth TO WIT Beginning at a Red Oak on the South Side of flat Creek Runing South a long a line and thence West a long a line of Mark’t Trees to the Mouth of Worleys Branch a fork of flat Creek So up the said branch to a Corner White Oak George Jordan Jr. his upper line the North a long a line of Mark’t Trees to a Corner White Oak thence East to the first Station a Red Oak TO HAVE AND peaceably to Enjoy the afore Mentioned two Hundred Acres of Land on Conditions that the afore Mentioned George Jordan Senr. his heirs and Assigns will pay the Quit Rents of the said two Hundred Acres of Land to Lord Proprietor or his Deputy’s according to the terms of the first Grant Granted -- for said Land to the sd. George Jordan Jr. his heirs and Assigns etc. and further I the said George Jordan Jr. do Covenant Promise and agree to and with the afsd. George Jordan Senr. his heirs Exetors Admtors and assigns to make any lawful Right Title or Conveyance to the above Mentioned two Hundred Acres of Land with all and Singular the Improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise Appertaining and will warrant the Same and defend it according to the first Grant Granted to me bearing Date the twenty Second Day of December in the twenty Second year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God IN WITNESS hereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and Year first above written.
