Granville County, NC – William Kendrick to Thomas Walker, 1752 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granville County Deed Book B, # 38 Kendrick This Indenture made the second Day of March in the twenty fifth year of the reign of to our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France Walker and Ireland and King Defender of the Faith &c. and in the year of Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty two Between William Kendrick of the county of Granville in the Province of North Carolina of the one Part and Thomas Walker of the aforesaid County and Province of the other Part Witnesseth that the said William Kendrick for and in Consideration of the sum of thirty Pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof the said William Kendrick doth hereby Acknowledge hath granted bargained and Sold aliened enfeofed released & confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien enfeof release and confirm unto the said Thomas Walker his heirs and assigns all that Tract or Parcel of Land situate lying and being in the said County of Granville on the South side of Six Pound Creek Beginning at a White Oak a Corner Tree to the said Kendrick’s Land thence along his line South Seventy Degrees East 155 Poles to a White Oak thence East 130 Poles to a Black Oak thence North 361 Poles to White Oak thence West 190 Poles to a Black Walnut on the Creek aforesaid thence up the said Creek to the first Station Containing in the whole by Estimation five hundred Acres of Land and Also the reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents and Servises thereof and also all the Estate Right Title Property Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said William Kendrick of in and to the said Land premises and of in & to every Part and Parcel thereof To have and To hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land and Premises with the appurtenances unto the said Thomas Walker his heirs and assigns to the only Proper use and behoof of the said Thomas Walker his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Kendrick doth Covenant and grant to and with the said Thomas Walker that he the said William Kendrick the Tract or Parcel of Land and Premises against him and his Heirs & against all and every other Person and persons will Warrant and forever Defend by these Presents unto the said Thomas Walker his Heirs and assigns forever Except as in excepted in Earl Granville’s Grant to the said William Kendrick In Witness whereof the said William Kendrick hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the Day and year first above Written Sign’d Seald and Deliver’d In Presence of William Kendrick Ja Paine his Rich x Jones mark James Walker __________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
