~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ To all to whom these presents shall Come Greeting ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Know Ye that we for & in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Shillings for every 
Hundred  acres hereby Granted paid into Our Treasury by David Wilkerson have 
given & Granted & by these presents do give & grant unto the sd. David 
Wilkerson a Tract of Land Containing Fifty acres lying & being in Our County 
of Granville On the Waters of Bearskin Creek Beginning at a white Oak 
Wilkerson & Person’s Corner thence by Persons line East One Hundred & Ten 
poles to a black Oak & Stake on the Old path thence North Eighty poles to a 
white Oak & black Oak thence by Wilkersons line West one Hundred & Six poles 
to a red Oak thence by John Wilkersons line South to the first Station as by 
the plat hereunto Annexed doth appear together with all Woods Waters Mines 
Minerals Hereditaments & appurtenances to the sd Land belonging Or 
appertaining To hold to the sd David Wilkerson his heirs & assigns forever 
Yielding & paying, to wit, Such Sums of Money Yearly or otherwise as Our 
General assembly from time to time May Direct Provided always that the sd 
David Wilkerson Shall Cause this Grant to be Registered in the Registers 
office of Our Said County of Granville within Twelve Months from the Date 
hereof otherwise the same shall be Void & of no Effect In Testimony whereof we 
have Caused Our Great Seal to be hereunto affixed Witness Richard Caswell 
esquire Our Governor Captain General & Commander in Chief at Kingston the 
first day of March in the fourth Year of Our Independence & in the Year of Our 
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty ~ ~ ~  ~ ~ ~  ~ ~ ~
