THIS INDENTURE Made the seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one 
thousand seven hundred & sixty three in the 2d year of our Sovereign Lord King 
George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland King 
defender of the faith &c Between James Rives (sic Reeves) of the County of 
Granville in the province of North Carolina Grantor of the one Part & Malachy 
Reeves Junr of the County & province aforesd of the other part WITNESSETH that 
the sd. James Reeves and Milicent Reeves his wife doth hereby acknowledge hath 
Granted given & aliened Enfeoffed Released and Confirmed & by these presents 
doth Grant give & alien Enfeoff Release & Confirm unto the sd. Malachy Reeves 
His heirs & assigns for ever all that seat (sic ?) tract or parcel of Land 
situate lying & being in the sd. County of Granville on both sides of Fishing 
Creek beging (sic) at white oak on the north side of Fishing Creek Running 
south 160 pole to a black oak thence W 190 pole to a red Oake thence N 170 
pole to a hickory thence E 120 pole to the first Station Containing by 
Estimation Two hundred acres more or less also the Reversion & Reversions 
Remainder & Remainders Rents & services thereof also all the Estate right 
Title Interest Property Claim & Demand whatsoever of him the sd. James Reeves 
of in & to the sd. tract or parcel of Land of in & to every part & Parcel 
thereof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the sd. seat tract or parcel of Land & Premises 
unto the sd. Malachy Reeves his heirs & assigns to the only proper use benefit 
and behoof of him the sd. Malachy Reeves his heirs & assigns for ever & the 
sd. James Reeves for himself his heirs Exrs. and Admrs. doth covenant and 
grant to & with the sd. Malachy Reeves his heirs & assigns that the sd. James 
Reeves his heirs & assigns the sd. Tract or Parcel of Land & premises against 
him & his heirs & against all & every other Person & Persons Whatsoever shall 
& Will Warrant & forever Defend by these presents IN WITNESS where of the sd. 
James Reeves hath hereunto set his hand and fixed his seal the Day & year 
above Wrighen (sic written?) -

Robert Hicks		} This Deed was proved by the Oak of Robert Hicks one
