Granville County, NC - Indenture - Roberson to Roberson, 1749

Roberson   This Indenture made the Sixth Day of Decr. One thousand seven
   to      Hundred & forty Nine Between Israel Roberson of Granville County 
Roberson   North Carolina of the one part and John Roberson of the aforsd.  
   Exr     County and Province of the other part Witnesseth that for and in 
Consideration of a sum to him in hand paid whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge 
the receipt hath granted bargained & Sold unto the sd. John Roberson his heirs 
& Assigns forever a Certain Plantation and all that part of my Land on the West 
side of Little Creek being part of Certain Tract of three hundred Acres more 
or less Land whereon the above sd. John Roberson now lives Situate lying and 
being in Granville County aforesd. To have and to hold the sd Lands Hereditaments 
and Premises with the Appurtenances unto the said John Roberson his heirs and 
Assigns for ever and the sd. Israel Roberson for himself his heirs Exetors & 
Admtors doth Covenant grant & agree to and with the sd. John Roberson his heirs 
& assigns by these presents in manner & form following that John Roberson his 
heirs & assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever 
hereafter peaceable and Quietly have hold Occupy possess & enjoy the aforesd. 
Land Tenements and Premises with the Appurtenances before herein Mentioned to 
be granted without any let Trouble Molistation Interruption of Israel Roberson 
or his heirs or any other person or persons what ever having or lawfully 
claiming to have any Estate right Title Interest Claim or Demand of in & to 
the same & Every part thereof & that freed and Acquited & discharged or well 
Sufficiently Sav’d and kept harmless by the sd. Israel Roberson his heirs 
Exetors Admtors for ever In Witness hereof the sd. Israel Roberson hath 
hereunto these presents Set his hand and fix’d his Seal the day and Year first 
above written.

Granville County Six December Court 1749 
The within Deed of Sale from Israel Roberson to John Roberson was acknowledged 
in open Court in due form of law and on Motion it was Ordered to be Registered.
