Granville County, NC - Indenture - Robertson to Williams, 1756 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granville County Deed Book B, pages 510-511 Robertson This Indenture made the second day of March in the twenty ninth to year ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George Williams the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland Exd King Defender of the faith &r. and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred fifty five Between Israel Robertson of the County of Granville of the province of North Carolina of the one part and Charles Williams Junr. of the County of Dinwiddie in the Collony of Virginia of the other part Witnesseth that the said Israel Robertson for and in Consideration of the Sum of forty five pound Currt. Money of Virginia to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath Granted Bargained & Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released & Confirmed and by these presents doth Grant Bargain & Sell Alien Enfeoff Release and Confirm unto the said Charles Williams his heirs & Assigns forever all that part of a tract of Land of six hundred & forty acres lying and being in the County of Granville & on the left side of Little Creek containing three hundred & twenty acres be the same more or less it being part of a tract granted to the said Robertson by Deed bearing date the fifth day of March one thousand seven hundred & forty nine the Reversion and Reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents and Services thereof and also all the Estate Right & the property Interest Benefit Claim & Demand whatsoever of him the said Israel Robertson of in and to the said land & premises lying and bounded as aforesaid and of in & to every part & parsel thereof and _____ the said Robertson doth by these presents Warrant the said Land to be free and clear of all incumbrances whatever To have and to hold the said part and parsel of Land and all and singular the premises with the appurtenances unto the said Charles Williams his heirs and Assigns forever and the said Israel Robertson doth Covenant and Grant to and with the said Charles Williams that he the said Dividend or parsel of Land & premises will warrant and for ever defend by these presents unto the said Charles Williams his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Israel Robertson doth hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
