Granville County, NC - Indenture - Roberson to Roberson, 1763 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granville County Deed Book F, page 450 This Indenture Made the eight day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred & Sixty three Between Nicholas Roberson of Granville County in North Carolina of the one part & Matthew Roberson of the County & Province aforsd. of the other part Witnesseth that the sd. Nicholas Roberson to & in consideration of the Sum of Twenty five Pounds Virga. Money to me in hand Paid by the Mathew Roberson the Receipt whereof the sd. Nicholas Roberson doth hereby acknowledge of myself therewith fully contented & Satisfied and paid & of every part & parcel thereof & do Exonerate aquit & Discharge the sd. Mathew Roberson & his heirs & assigns for ever have given Granted bargained sold conveyed & Confirmed and by their Presents doth fully freely clarely & absolutely give grant bargain Sell convey & confirm unto him the sd. Mathew Roberson his heirs & assigns forevermore Trach or parcel of Land Containing 2 hundred & 25 acres by Estimation Lying in the county & province above mentioned and bounded as follows (Wit) Beginning at the mouth of Edwards Spring Branch & thence Running up the branch to Israel Robersons Line thence along the sd. Robersons Land to a corner White Oak thence along the sd. Line to the little creek which is now called Robersons mill creek thence Running down the Southside of the sd. Creek to the beginning Place it being old Pattoned Land the sd Land now pnt secured by Israel Roberson from him to Henry Hingron from him to Charles Edwards & from him to sd Nichs Roberson To have & To hold the sd Granted & bargained premises with all the appurtenances Privileges & Commodities to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining with all houses Orchards Gardens cler ground Wood Land ground pasture ground Water and Water courses & all other liberties & privileges therein & thereon contained to him these sd Mathew Roberson & his heirs & assigns forever to his & their only proper benefit & behoof ever and I the sd. N. S. Roberson for myself my heirs Exrs. And Admrs. Do covenant promise & grant to & with the sd. Mathew Roberson his heirs & assigns that before the Ensealing & Delivery thereof I am the true Sole & lawful oner of the above bargained premises and lawfuller Seized of power (?) of McLain in my own Proper Right as a good ____ absolute Estate of Inheritance fee Simple and have in myself Good Right full power & lawful authority to grant bargain sell convey & confirm ____ bargained premises in manner as above: and that the sd. Mathew Roberson his heirs & assigns Shall & may from time to time & at all times forever hereafter by force of virtue of these presents lawfully Peacably and Quietly have hold use occupy Possess & Enjoy the sd. Demised & bargained premises with the appertenances free & clear & freely & clearly acquitted – Exonorated & Discharged of from all manner of former & other Gifts grants bargains Sails Leases Mortgages Wills intails _____ Dower Judgments Executions Incumbrances Extents furthermore I the sd.
