Granville County, NC - Isral Roberson Senr. to Nicholas Roberson, 1755 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granville County Deed Book B, p. 427 To all People to whom these presence shall com I Isral Roberson Senr. of Granvil county in North Carolina Know ye that I Israel Roberson for divers causes & considerations now hearunto moving but more especially for the Love Good will & affection which I have & do bare to my Son Nicholas Roberson have given Granted Alined Convey’d & Confirmed and by these presences do fully freely & absolutely Give Grant Alin Confirm unto him the said Nicholas Roberson his heirs & Assigns for ever one tract or parcel of Land containing by Esteemation three hundred & twenty acres lying in Granvil County on the South East side of Smiths Creek Beginning at a White Oake in the Country line at Honzy Kings corner thence by his Line South 360 poles to a white Oak thence East to the Reedy Branch thence down the said Branch to a poplar thence Est to the North line at a Red Oak thence by the said Line to a Hickory in the Country line from thence along the Country to the beginning containing three hundred & twenty acres by Esteemation To have and to hold for Ever the said Given & Granted premises with all the appurtenances priveledges & commodities to the same belonging or in any ways apportaining with all Houses Orchards Gardens clear’d Ground Woodland Ground pasture & pasturs Ground Water & Water courses & all other Liberties & privilledges therein & thereon containg to him the sd. Nicholas Roberson his heirs & Assigns for ever to his & their only proper use benfits and behoof for ever, & I the sd. Israel Roberson for my self my heirs Exr. & Adms. Covenant promis and grant to & with the sd. Nicholas Roberson his heirs & assigns that before the Enseling & Delivery hereof I am the true sole & lawful Owner of the above given premises & am Lawfully Seiz’d and possed of the same my own proper right as a good perfect & abslout Estate of Inheritance Fee Simple & have in my self good right full power & lawful Authority to give grant to Convey & Confirm the sd Given & Granted Premises in maner as above said and that the said Nicholas Roberson his heirs and Assigns shall & may from time to time & at all time for ever hereafter by free & virtue of this presences Lawfully Peaceably & Quietly hold use occupy possess ejoy the sd. Given & granted premises with the appertenances free & clear & freely & clearly & Discharged of & from all manner of former & thes gifts Bargais Sails Leases Mortgages Wills Intails Joynturs Doweries Judgments Executions Icombrances & Extents Farthermore the sd. Israel Roberson for my self my heirs Exs & Adms. Do Covenant warrant & engage the above sd. Land & premises with all profits & intrusts thereon esponding to him the sd.
