Granville County, NC – Isral Roberson Sr to Mathew Roberson, 1759 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granville County Deed Book C, page 635 Roberson To all people to whom these presences shall come I Israel Roberson Sr of to Granvill County in North Carolina Know ye that I Isral Roberson Sr. of Roberson __ divers causes & considerations hereunto moving but more especially for the __ Deed __ love good will & affection which I have and do bare to my son Mathew Examd __ Roberson have given granted alined conveyed & confirmed and by these presence do fuly freely & absolutely give grant convey & confirm unto him the said Mathew Roberson his heirs & assigns forever one tract or parcel of land containing by estimation three hundred twenty acres be the same more or less beginning on No. Roberson’s line at a corner pine thence by a new line made within themselves and Est corse to a whit Oke on Isl. Robersons one line thence by the line to a corner Hiccory thence by the sd line to the little Creek thence down sd Creek to his Robersons line thence by his line to the beginning & concluding the sd Mathew Roberson’s Plantation & land with he now lives on To have and to hold forever the said given and granted premises with all the appurtenances privileges & comoties to the saim belonging or in any ways appertaining with all houses orchards gardens clear ground woods pasture ground waters water corses & all other liberties & privileges therein & thereon containing to him the said Mathew Roberson his heirs and assigns forever his and ther only proper use benefit & behoof forever and I the said Isral Roberson for myself my heirs Exs. & Adms. do covenant promise and grant to & with the said Mathew Roberson his heirs & Assigns that before the ensealing & delivering hearof I am the true Sol & Lawful owner of the above given premises & am lawfully seazed and possessed of the same in my own proper right in a good perfect & absolute Estate of Inheritance fee simple & have in myself good right full power & lawful authority to give grant convey & confirm the said given & granted premises in manor as abovesd and that the said Mathew Roberson his heirs & assigns shall & may from time to time & at all times forever hearafter by free & virtue of these presences lawfully peaceable quietly hold use occupy posses & enjoy the sd given & granted premises with that apurtenances free an clear an clarely aquitted exouerated & discharged of from all forever & other gifts bargins sails leases mortgages wills intails Joynture Dowers Judgements executions incumbrances & extents farthermore I the said Isral Roberson Sr. for myself my heirs Exrs & Admrs. So covenant warrant and engage the abovesd. Land & primises with all profits & intrusts thereon deponding to him the said Mathew Roberson & his heirs forever against the lawful claim or demands of any person or persons whatever for hearafter to warrant and secure and defend In Witness whereof I hearunto set my hand and Seal this first day of December one thousand seven hundred & fifty eight.
