Mallory Granville County, North Carolina Deed Book O, Pg 46 1st May 1780 THIS INDENTURE Made the first day of May in the Year of Our Lord Christ one thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty Between Wyat Wilkerson of Granville County in the State of North Carolina of the one part & William Mallory of the Same County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Wyat Wilkerson for & in consideration of the Sum of five Hundred pounds Current Money to him in hand paid by the said William Mallory at or before the ensealing & delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he the said Wyat Wilkerson doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold aliened released Made Over conveyed & delivered unto the said William Mallory his heirs &c one Certain tract or parcel of Land, Situate lying & being in Granville County & on Tar River Containing one Hundred & Sixty three acres be the Same More or less & is bounded as follows to wit, Beginning at two white Oaks on Tar River thence up the said River to a red Oak & Gum John Guests Corner then East 16 poles to a poplar in the said Guests Corner then North by his line 52 poles to his Corner pine then east 202 poles by his line to his Corner poplar then North by his line 280 poles to a black jack then east 64 poles to three black Jacks then South 342 poles to a pine & Gum then West to the Beginning, To have & to hold the aforesaid granted & bargained premises with all & Singular the rights benefits privileges & appurtenances to the same belonging unto the said William Mallory his heirs & assigns forever & the said Wyat Wilkerson doth by these presents Warrant & will forever defend the said granted & bargained premises with every of their appurtenances unto the Said William Mallory his heirs & assigns to be at the time of granting hereof free & clear of all Manner of Incumbrances (sic) & from the Just Claim of any person or persons whomsoever In Testimony Whereof the said Wyat Wilkerson hath hereunto set his hand & Seal the day & Year above Written Wiat Wilkerson (Seal) Sign’d seal’d & delivered in presents of } Granville County Sct Demcy Moon; Richd Searcy } May Court AD 1780 Wiat Wilkerson acknowledged this Deed to be his act & Deed which was ordered to be Registered.
