April 4, 1829 ANOTHER STEAMBOAT DISASTER -- At about one o’clock, on the morning of the 1st inst., the steamboat “Montezuma” snagged in the Mississippi near Helena in the Arkansas Territory and sunk. The crew and passengers were saved; but nearly all the cargo was lost. Among the passengers were JOSEPH H. BRYAN, SALLY ANN BRYAN and MARY McFROHOCK of this State.
