Thurs. Nov. 3, 1859   North Carolina Argus November 3, 1859
   SHOT FOR A TURKEY -- MR. C. R. LEWIS, while hunting near Oxford, a few days 
ago, was accidentally shot for a turkey. Several shots took effect, but not 
seriously, it is thought.
