LAZARUS MINOR, son of the above, being informed there was a runaway Negro, a boot and shoe maker, the property of BENJAMIN HESTER, harbored and at work in a Negro house of said LONGMIRE, went and discovered the Negro in the house. He then sent to LONGMIRE for assistance to get the Negro, but was refused, although he and his son, ROBERT LONGMIRE were both at home. The Negro, however, was taken by LAZARUS MINOR, and a servant of his father, and was conveyed to his father’s. Ever since that time LONGMIRE has been incensed at and has not for 15 months exchanged a word with said MINOR; but has endeavored to impress it on the minds of the people that he had lost a ram, and found it amongst those of MINOR and bearing his mark, which is a palpable falsehood; and it cannot be made appear that he has been guilty of any fraud of the kind to any man in the world.
