     NORTH CAROLINA ALMONDS
   DR. J. A. RUSSELL of Granville, exhibited a lot of almonds at the State 
Fair, which were in every respect equal to those of foreign production. His 
trees grow in the sunny side of his garden, resemble peach trees, and are 
nearly as easily cultivated.
