In early life Bro. Coley professed faith in Christ, and was baptized into the fellowship of Concord church, Granville county, N. C., by Elder J. A. Stradley. He at once began to develop into an earnest, active christian worker. He was gifted in singing, exhortation and prayer. He was a recognized leader among his brethren, in every good word and wor. For more than two months he sufered from a severe attack of malaral fever, which was an over match for his weak lungs. As long as reason lasted, he spoke with rapture and certainty of his heavenly home. Greatly will our dear brother be missed from his church, Sabbath School and neighborhood, but most of all, from his once happy home, wher now a loving young wife, after near three years of the happiest conjugal bliss is left, clothed in the dark habiliments of sorrow. God comfort our afflicted sister, and the three remaining brothers of the departed love one. J. A. S.
