James Vaughan, a highly respectable and worthy citizen. The Colonel was a Captain in the Revolutionary War for several years and gave many proofs of his patriotism and intrepedity. In the social circle of husband and friend, he was kind, affectionate and benevolent. He died in a full belief of the Christian Religion, and awaited with pleasure the arrival of that happy moment which was to waft his spirit to a world of rest. He left an affectionate wife, numerous relations and many firends to deplore his death.
