Williams, 77, resident of 606 Bon Air Avenue, who died at Watts Hospital yesterday morning, will be held this afternoon at the Stovall Baptist Church at Stovall. The Rev. Joe A. Wagnon will conduct the services. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Williams, native of Granville County, died at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning after several years of declining health. she was the daughter of the late James K. and Elizabeth Wilkerson of Stovall and lived all of her life there until coming to Durham in 1928. For the past several years she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. O.K Hunt, of 606 Bon Air Avenue. Her husband was the late John P. Williams Sr. of Stovall. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Stovall Methodist Church. She is survived by six children; Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. H.N. Clark, Mrs. H.D. Norris, all of Durham; Lt. Col. Zack M. Williams of Bel Air, Md.; Luther K. Williams of Winston-Salem, and Prof. Melvin J. Williams of Florida State University of Tallahassee; three step-children, Mrs. Pearl Elliott of Oak Hill, Mrs. Clay Slaughter of Granville County and Elijah Williams of Virgilina, Va.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be grandsons of the deceased. Honorary pallbearers will be C.C. Daniel, Giles Crutcher, Jack Harris, Walter O'Brien, Davd Bigger, John Dean, Leonard Cutts, J.A. Long, F.L. Gamble, M.G. Clark, Dr. J.S. Bradsher, Walter S. Strum, Irwin Currin, Walter Young, Dr. R.E. Nichols, Jr., J.G. Brock, Edwin Clements, Deering Norris, A.C. Allen, Fred Sackett, Bill Baker, G.E. Thomas, Bernard P. Bowling, and E.P. Bowen.
