I Leonard Peek being of a very low state of health but but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be to God for the same and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die do make ordain and appoint this to be my last will and testament. First of all I give and bequeath my soul to almighty God that first gave it to me hoping that I shall receive the same in glory through the merits of our Blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ---and as for what worldly goods that it hath pleased God to bestow on me I give and bequeath as followith To wit First of all I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Lucey Peeek all my estate rale [real]and personable Lands Negroes Houses cattle hogs sheep and all my plantation tools also all my household furniture of every sort whatsoever during the term of her life to be peaceably and quietly processed thereof excepting one horse colt known by the name of Freedom I give and bequeath to Abner Abercromby son of Charls. Also one rifle gun I give to my beloved brother Samuel Peek as long as he the said Samuel lives but after his decease to be returned to my estate. Also I lend to my said brother Samuel one Negro man slave named Tom for the term of five years after my decease and then to be returned to my estate. Also I give to my brother Charles one horse said horse to be at the discretion of my beloved wife wife also I give and bequeath to Leonard Barford my riding saddle and it is my will and desire that after my beloved wife’s deceasse that my estate shall be equally divided in equal shares amongst my brothers that shall as that time be living and I do hereby appoint and constitute my beloved friend Richard Bennihan to be my executor to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this tenth day of November in the year of our Lord 1783.
