Granville County, NC – Will of Israel Roberson, 1760

In the Name of God The forth Day of Decembor in the year of our Lord 
one thousand seven hundred and fifty eight  I Israel Roberson Sire of 
Granvill County in North Carrelinar Being of perfect sond and memory 
thanks be to given to God But calling to mind the mortallity of my Body 
and Knowing That it is appointed for all men to dy do make and ordain 
this my Last will and Testemant That is to Say Principally and first of 
all I give and Recommend my Sole in to the hands of God that made It 
and my Boddy I Rocomend to the Earth  To be Buried in a Docient mannor 
at the Discoaion of my Exr~
Not Doubting but at the genaral I Shall Roceive the Same again and to 
_____ Such worldly Estate whoace with it hath pleased god to give me in 
this Life I give Divide Bequeath and Dispose of the Same for the 
following mannor and form ~~~
Imprimis – I give to my son Mathew Roberson five Shillings Sterling ~~
      I give to my grandagtor Mary Roberson Daughtor of my Son Mathew
      Roberson Twenty shillings
Item  I give to my Son John Roberson five Shilling Sterling ~
Item  I give to my Son Israel Roberson five Shilling Sterling ~
Item  I give to my Son David Roberson five Shillings Sterling ~
      I give to my Granson Israel Roberson son David Roberson Twenty

Item  I give to my Son Nicholas Roberson five Shilling Sterling 
      I give to my grand Daughter Abbe Roberson  Daughtor of my son 
      Nicholas Roberson  ____ only Shilling
      I give to my Son Charles Roberson five Shilling Sterling
      I give to my grandson Julos Son of Charles Roberson Twenty

Item  I give to my Daughter Susanar Kendrick a Neagro Boy Names Gimme~
Item  I give to my Son George Roberson those Neagros a negro wommon 
Named Doll a Neagro Named Bond a Negro Gal Named Frank sixteen head of 
Cattel three feather Beds &all th other ______ goods that Belongs to 
the ______ my plantashon I now live on and mill and all the Land Belong 
to me and to Sarah Roberson my Beloved wife The mother of George ~ To 
have a living in the Estate Left to George During her Life 
And there by appoint my Son David Roberson and my Son George Roberson 
exectors that this my will be preformed to the ______ Intent and 
meaning there of ~~~
