Will of John Searcy 1st In the name of God Amen I John Searacy of Granville Co., N. C., State of N.C. being of sound mind and memory do make, constitute and ordain this my last will and Testament., First, I will that all my debts I justly owe be forthwith levied out of my estate and paid. Item: I give and bequeath to the representative of my son, William Searcy, dec'd, five shillings & to my sons, John & Bartlett and my daughter, Mary Reardon, and my daughter Susanna Hayes, Alias Good, five shillings proclamation money each. Item: I give the rest of my Estate both real and personal to be equally divided amongst my four children viz. Elizabeth, Reuban, Sarah Linsey & Richard Searcy to them & their heirs & assignees forever. And lastly I appoint Reuban Searcy & Rich'd Searcy executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of March A.D. 1783.
