Greene County, NC - Record File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Martha Marble JOHN SUGG RECORD A typed copy in the John Sugg File at NSDAR Library, Washington, DC. It does not say so, but this typed copy probably came from "Dobbs County, NC Bible Records, Volume I" by William (Bill) Murphy who had the original in his possession. Since his Collection is in the Manuscript Division, Joyner Library, ECU, I assume the original is in his Collection. The introduction in the book states - "This record was found among the papers of Martha Sugg Dixon of "Sandy Lawn", near Hookerton, Greene County. It appears to be a Bible or Church record copied from some source now lost which dealt with the family of John Sugg and Elizabeth Murphrey of "Rattle Hill", on Rainbow Creek near Hookerton.
