Know ye that I Charles Bergeron of Dobbs Co., NC for good will and love and respect that I bear unto my son John Bergerm and his advancement in the world to freely and absolutely give and make over all that plantation and tract of lnad thereunto belonging where on he now lives with all houses or his woods and under woods and all privileges thereunto belonging the said land lying in Dobbs, being on S. side of Cotantny Creek at a pine above the house that John Overstreet formerly lived and running W to a corner pine and up the creek to the beginning for 160 acres , the said land Charles Bergeron does freely give unto John Bergeron his heirs and assigns and does warrant same against anyone. Shadrack Mercer his heirs and assigns forever that plantation which David Webb now lives on S. side of Little Contentney Creek and on N. side of Thompsons Swamp, bounded by Capt. William Speight's line and runs down Speight's line to run of Thompson's Swamp to marked trees between David Webb and James Webb near John Wards corner which is part of a tract granted by deed from Earl Granville to Elias Bergrm dated 7 Jan. 1763 and from Elias conveyed by deed to Thomas Walston dated 14 Oct. 1766 and from Walston to Aaron Webb 8 Feb. 1773 and by decease of Aaron Webb descending to David Webb, present seller and eldest son of Aaron Webb. Term 1831 This was the foregoing power of attorney exhibited in open court and appealing to the court that the necessary certificates of execution thereof are attached to said POA and ordered that same be admitted for registration. In consideration of $200 in hand paid to the aforesaid parties by their POA in fact, David Scarbrough the receipt of which is acknowledged (from said Brittain Moore) The aforesaid parties have given granted and sold to Brittain Moore his heirs and assigns forever the undivided right and title to 2 certain tracts in Greene Co. NC 1 tract where Shadrack Mercer did live, lying on Christopher Mercers Mill Swamp on S. side of Thompson's Swamp adjoining Stephen Rogers land, being 300 acres and another tract of 145 acres on N. side of Thompson's Swamp joining Needham Wards land, being descended to them from their father Shadrach Mercer, deceased. Lot # 3 Beginning at a pine in the north prong of Gully Branch, Bargerrons corner and SW to a stake in south prong of branch and up the branch to corner of Lot # 2 with line of Lot # 2 to the corner in the branch, then down the branch to beginning 72 acres, more of less. Lot # 4 Beginning at a pine in the north prong of Gully Branch, corner of Lot # 3 and runs SW to a stake in the south prong of Gully Branch then down the branch to the north prong, then up the north prong to beginning, 48 acres, more or less.
