MEMORIAL MARKERS IN MEWBORN FAMILY CEMETERY

Located in the Mewborn Family Cemetery on rural road 1121
(Jason Community).

MARKER #1: "It being the place or plat selected by said Parrott 
Mewborn II and George Mewborn for a family burying ground for 
themselves and heirs" September 10, 1857 when Nancy Susan Mewborn 
(twin to George Washington Mewborn) died and was buried on the
plantation.

Lydia Hardy Mewborn (wife) born April 26, 1768
The above families lives on Falling Creek, Institute Community

The above brothers were in the Revolutionary War and
lived on Bear Creek, Jason Community

Edith Hardy Aldridge (wife)
The above families lived at Myrtle Bluffs and the old cemetery
is located 1/ 4 mile across the road from this cemetery.
