Hooker born abt 1752 died abt 1821 SONS & ONE DAUGHTER Mary (Polly) Lane born Mar. 14, 1788 - died Jul. 4, 1887 William born abt. 1790 - died (no date) James Wesley born Apr. 4, 1791 - died {no date) Hardy born abt. 1793 - died 1834 Nancy Freeman, wife of Hardy Hooker born abt. 1794 - died 1872 Isaac Jordan, born (no date) - died Jan. 1, 1861 Anne E., dau. of Hardy Hooker & wife, grand-daughter of Samuel C. & wife and wife of Isaac Jordan, born abt. 1828 - died Mar. 4, 1861 OTHER SIDE: Samuel C. Hooker of Bertie Co., son of Stephen, grandson of William II, great grandson of William I of Chowan Co. - married a Miss Blanchard. They came to this county, then Dobbs, to live in 1780. They bought 200 acres of land here, paying 4250 pounds current money and made this their home. Samuel C. was a charter member of Rainbow Methodist Church. In 1804 when Greene Academy was established at Hookerton, he was one of the eleven Trustees appointed to serve.
