State vs Alfred Phillips – Indictment of Larceny at Fall Term of Greene County 
Superior Court 1871

The def entered the house of W. J. Horton and cooked pork but he carried 
nothing away – the def was not told by the authorities he did not have to 
answer their questions – the court found his confession was not admissible and 
he was found not guilty.
