The Deposition of Priscilla Allen of Dobbs County Widow being of full Age & 
duly Sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God. 

This Deponent deposeth & sayth, That her late husband Andrew Allen of Dobbs 
County departed this Life on Saturday the thirteenth instant, after having 
made & executed his last Will & Testament in writing & thereof made & 
appointed Jacob Vanfelt & Gilbert Kerr of the said County Executors of this 
Deposent Executives; that in about an hour after the decease of the said 
Andrew, William McTyer & Col. Abraham Shepard, came to the dwelling house of 
this Deponent, wherein the said Andrew then lay dead, and stayd & waited in 
and about the said house, until about ten of the Clock in the night of the 
same day, on or about which time, the said William McTyer aided & assisted 
by divers Negroes some whereof belonging to the said Abraham Shepard & 
others to one James Adaen (line missing) Priscilla, the said Abraham Shepard 
at the same time counseling advising & assisting the said William McTyer in 
Seizing taking &  carrying off the said Negroes as aforesaid
