To the Honorable the General Assembly

The Petition of Sundry Inhabitants of Glasgow County
Humbly Sheweth

That your Petitioners living in the fork of Bear Creek
in said County at a Considerable distance from the Court
house of this County and an extream difficult way and a
very conveanint way to court House in Wayne and no
difficulty to Prevent this passing at any time to that
Court House do therefore Pray that your honor'ble Body
will pass a law annexing them to the County of Wayne in
the following manner  Beginning at the fork of Said Bear
Creek and then up the East prong to the Wayne County line
and in Duty Bound they will Pray &c

A Bill to annex part of Glasgow county to Wayne County

     Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina &
it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that from & after the 
passing of this act, all that part of Glasgow County lying situate & bounded 
as follows begining where the Wayne County line crosses the South prong
of Bear Creek, then down the said South prong to the fork, then up the North
prong to where the Wayne County line crosses the same & then with the said 
County line to the begining by added to and made apart of Wayne County.

     And be it further enacted that nothing in this act shall debar or be
construed to debar the Sheriff of the County of Glasgow from collecting the 
Taxes now due or which may become due for the year 1793 from the inhabitants 
hereby added to the County of Wayne in the same manner as if this act had 
never past.
