VINES, C. C. VINES, Martha W. COOK, Nannie V. TERRELL and Mary V. BROWN, wife of G. E. BROWN, who is dead leaving issue the plaintiff Lula BROWN. Latitia Vines NEWTON Questions asked Jas. P. SPEIGHT at time of action in 1890: Jas. P. SPEIGHT grandson of Capt. Seth SPEIGHT aged 76 in 1890. Question: State if you know of your own knowledge or from report in your family connections, how many brothers and sisters Samuel VINES left him surviving, or if dead had issue living at Cora B. WARD'S death? Answer: one half brother by the name of John VINES, then my grandmother Elizabeth SPEIGHT and Mary SMAW were his own sisters. Elizabeth SPEIGHT was the wife of Seth SPEIGHT Sr., and Mary SMAW the wife of Thomas SMAW and daughters of William VINES, the father of Samuel VINES. They all left issue living at Cora B. WARD'S death. Question: Who were the issue of Elizabeth SPEIGHT? Answer: (1) William Vines SPEIGHT (2) Seth SPEIGHT Jr. (3) Thos. SPEIGHT (4) Mary S. GIBBONS (5) Fanny S. HARPER (6) Lemon SPEIGHT (7) Nancy S. POPE (8) Jesse SPEIGHT William Vines SPEIGHT had issue: Elizabeth S. STANTON, Harriet S. DARDEN wife of W. A. DARDEN Sr., Temperance LITTLE wife of Wm. LITTLE, Nancy LITTLE wife of Seth LITTLE, Edwin G. SPEIGHT now dead- no issue. Seth SPEIGHT Jr. had issue: Jas. P. SPEIGHT Thos. SPEIGHT had issue: Thomas L. SPEIGHT, Elizabeth SPEIGHT, Jno. S. SPEIGHT, Louis Skidmore SPEIGHT, and Cicero SPEIGHT. Mary S. GIBBONS had issue: Elizabeth HARPER wife of Ormond HARPER, Nancy HARPER wife of Jno. HARPER, Marinda MOSELEY wife of Matthew MOSELEY, Mary Lassiter wife of Stephen LASSITER, Jas. GIBBONS, Seth GIBBONS, and Henry H. GIBBONS. Fanny S. HARPER had issue: John J. HARPER, Wm.
