Marble http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00022.html#0005285 February 9, 2008, 9:14 pm Source: Nc Archives Written: 1823 #1239 – HOLLIDAY vs HOLLIDAY NC Supreme Court Case found at the NC Archives Greene Co – 1823 – Court of Equity in Greene Co Your orators, William Holliday, Sylvestor Brown and Hannah his wife, state Thomas Holliday departed this life in 1818 leaving a will where he appointed sd William Holliday and Sylvestor Brown his Exec – the sd Thomas Holliday conveyed to his wife for life the land that was conveyed to him by his father Samuel Holliday – by a subsequent clause he devised this land to his son Tilmon Holliday and in another clause he directs that if his wife be living at his decease the sum of $750 be appropriated by his execs for building (a house?) at the place his father had lived and to be completed with 12 months – the land where his father formerly lived was the land conveyed to the testor (sic) by his father and then to Tilmon. The widow (of Thomas) Elizabeth survived him for only 3 days – the sd Thomas Holliday had specific requests for his children your orator Hannah Brown, Elizabeth the wife of Wiley Croom, Mary the wife of John L. Hawks, Eliza the wife of Albert Harlan ???, Louisa Ann, Maria, and Tillmon – the sd Tillmon demands the sum of $750 be applied to the building Sylvestor Brown and his wife reside in New Bern, Wiley Croom and Elizabeth in Ala, Albert Harlan and Eliza in Ga, John L.
