JONES vs EDWARDS

NC REPORTS:  Book 53, p. 336. June  term 1861, Greene Co.
     W.Z.Y. JONES  ET AL  vs   ISAAC C. EDWARDS ET AL.
This was a petition for distributive share of the estate of CLARINDA
JOYNER against her personal representatives heard  before J. Osborne
last spring term Greene Co.
      No counsel appeared for plaintiffs
     J. W. Bryan for  defendants

 Charles  Joyner by will left land to be  equally divided among
children:
1.CAROLINE  wife of the defendant ISAAC C. EDWARDS
    [my note: Caroline b. c 1833-census)
2.ELIZA A. JOYNER
3.JOHN F. JOYNER[my note: b.c 1839]
4.LAVINIA JOYNER
5.CLARINDA JOYNER

Eliza & Lavinia  died underage & intestate,   Now, evidence in case
before us shows that  Clarinda is now dec'd, underage & intestate, and
the petitioner JONES  in right of wife MARY who is the mother of the
children  is entitled to a share of the fund

NOTE: Someone  told me that Mary was the mother ONLY of Clarinda;
the other children were by 1st wife. W. Z. Y. Jones of Warren Co. md

NOTE: According to another Supreme Court Case Charles Joyner married 
1st, Eliza, daughter of Cullen and Sidney Phillips Coward. Of the 
children of the above Charles Joyner, Caroline and John are proven children of 
the first wife, Eliza. mmm
