Samuel Vines vs Obedience Browning
NOTE: There appears to be more than one case on this matter

Superior Court Spring Term 1835 – George Mordicai was the Attorney for Vines

Browning was from Edgecombe Co and was a woman – this was a plea of trespass

Vine sought to recover 2 Negro slaves, Winney and Barney, which the plf had 
recovered in Greene Court in Dec 1833 – the question was – did the children 
born during this time belong to the plf or the def – the value of the Negroes 
was $120

The Court found for the plf and he was to recover $120 from the def.
