Greene County, 1894

On 18 July 1893 W. T. Worthington, S. G. Rouse, and John Patrick vs Simon 
Coward, Gatlin Ormond, John P. Taylor and wife Josephine  Calvin Allen and J. 
A. Edwards, Sr

Petition of plf – we are owners of land in Greene Co designated as low lands 
subject to drained and ditched ditches by an Act of the Legislature – we wish 
to have a ditch cut through the lands of Simon Coward, Gatlin Ormond, W. T. 
Worthington, Calvin Allen, L. G. Rouse, Susan Turnage, John R. Taylor and wife 
Josephine, J. A. Edwards Sr starting at Pole Cat ditch and running to the line 
of J. A. Edwards, Sr and John Patrick – it was decided the ditch should be 
built but the owners were to pay the costs and there was some disagreement as 
to the size and dept of the ditch.
