Bk 76, pg 245
Indenture made 24 May 1777 between William Blount of the county of Craven 
and Captain John Sheppard of Dobbs, for 450 pounds land in Dobbs on the 
south side of Contentnea Creek granted by patent on 1 Mar 1743 unto John 
Sellers containing 400 acres. 
Also another tract at same location land granted to John Sellers Junr on 11 
Nov 1743 containing 400 acres. 
Witnesses: Jesse Blount and J G Blount. Recorded Oct'r Court 1779
