Greene County, NC - Hardy Cade to Nathan Cade, 1867

This indenture made the 15th day of February 1867 between
HARDY CADE of the County of Greene & State of North Carolina
of the first part & NATHAN CADE, the son of the party of the 
first part  Witnesseth: that the said HARDY CADE for and in 
consideration of the natural love and affection, which he has
unto the said NATHAN CADE, has given, granted, aliened,
released, & confirmed & by these presents does grant &
confirm unto the said NATHAN CADE, his heirs & assigns, a
certain piece & parcel of land , situated in the County & State
aforesaid & bounded by the lands of THOS. W. DAWSON,
P.M. HARDY & the land deeded to the heirs of PARROT CADE
& also the lands deeded from PATSY HEMBY to her children,
containing fifty-two acres, more or less, together with the
priviliges & all things appertaining thereto & all the estate right,
title, interest of him the said HARDY CADE in & thereto.
     To have & to hold the said lands & all the appurtenances
thereto to him the said NATHAN CADE, his heirs & assigns, to
his proper use & behoof forever.  And I the said HARDY CADE
do forever warrant & defend the above mentioned land to be 
free & clear "from lawful claim" or claims of all & every person
whomsoever.
     In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand & seal,
date of day & year above written.

State of North Carolina        June 3rd 1868
County of Greene                Then was the execution of the
foregoing deed of gift from Hardy Cade to Nathan Cade duly
proven before the undersigned by the oath of B.E. Mitchell
one of the subscribing witnesses thereto. Let the same with
this certificate be recorded.
