Patience Mooring to Dail Brothers

This indenture made this 20th day of June 1879 between Patience Mooring of the 
first part & W. H. Dail & Bro of the second part, all of the Co. of Greene & 
State of N. C.; Witnesseth, that s'd Patience Mooring for & in consideration of 
the sum of One hundred dollars to her in hand paid the receipt and payment of 
which is here by acknowledged, has bargained, sold & conveyed & by her doth 
bargain, sell, and convey unto s'd W. H. Dail & Bro, their heirs, exr's, 
admin's, & assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in Greene 
Co. in Snow Hill Township, & bounded as follows; all of my interest in a tract 
of land formerly belonging to Susan Mooring, adjoining the lands of Jno. 
Mooring, Jas Hemby, Wm. Mozingo containing thirty nine acres more or less, my 
interest being on third of s'd land. To have and to hold the afores'd as is of 
land to them the s'd W. H. Dail & Bro their heirs, exr's, admin's & assigns 
forever. The consideration of the foregoing obligations is such that whereas 
the before mentioned Patience Mooring is justly indebted to to s'd W. H. Dail 
& Bro in the sum of One Hundred Dollars due by note and the interest according 
therein, this deed & any part thereof shall be void & of no effect; otherwise 
to remain in full force & virtue. And it is further understood and agreed that 
in case the s'd Patience Mooring shall fail to pay off s'd note & interest when 
due, this the s'd W.H. Dail & Bro are authorized and empowered to advertise the 
s'd land at the Court House door & other public places in Greene Co. for thirty 
days & after such advertisement sell the same for cash, at the Court House door 
in Snow Hill, & carry the same by deed to the purchased and out of the proceeds 
of such sale pay the s'd before mentioned debt & interest & all the necessary 
expenses of making & executing this and the balance remaining if any they shall 
pay over to s'd Patience Mooring or her legal representatives. In witness 
whereof the s'd Patience Mooring hath hereinto set her hand & seal this 20th 
day of June 1879.
